Family Justice Hub

  • Do you have loved ones facing criminal or immigration charges in court?
  • Do you want to discover how to better support them, as an extension of the defence team?
  • Do you want to learn how to meaningfully and impactfully support your loved ones?
  • Are you struggling to understand what the lawyers are saying?

Join us as we develop the family justice hub, Inspired by Albert Cobarrubias Justice Project (https://acjusticeproject.org/) .

Are you a church, community or youth organization, support group, union, or neighborhood group with members who might be facing criminal charges in the courts? Do you want to learn how to provide meaningful and impactful support for those loved ones?

Let’s support your participatory defence lead.  Let’s help you navigate the criminal justice system, identified intervention points and develop effective mitigation packets including video.

    Did you know?

You and/or your child can help each other to regulate your emotions when you are struggling.  Remember! Your brain and your relationships are power sources to:

    • Calm your fear.  Use logic (upstairs brain).
    • Control Impulses: Use your upstairs brain to put a space between your impulse and actions
    • Name it to tame it – Name whatever is causing distress. It has a calming effect (Siegel).
    • Connect & Redirect: Tune into another’s experience (compassion) and mental state (empathy), then redirect.
